Founded in January 2013, Ensemble con Fuoco collaborates with emerging Australian composers, through the comissioning of new works, performed alongside existing repertoire.
Ensemble con Fuoco made their debut in Elizabeth Murdoch Hall (Melbourne Recital Centre), having been selected as part of the 2013 People's Chamber Music event. They placed second in the 2013 Musical Society of Victoria's Chamber Award. The ensemble received First Class Honours for their Melbourne Conservatorium Chamber Music assessments, and have performed frequently in Melba Hall (Melbourne Conservatorium).
In 2014, they launched their first concert series 'Ignition' premiering four new Australian compositions. 2015 saw their concert series 'Illuminations' and provided another display of new Australian compositions performed alongside challenging existing repertoire. Emerging Australian composer collaborations include Warren Lenthal, Lore Burns, Emma Rogers, Claire Missingham, Eli Simic-Prosic, Camden Tilley and Kevin March.
